Weeks 9 & 10

With the backdrop of the growing dumpster fire that is America right now, I’m still drawing.

The 365 project had their first in-person hangout where we could put some faces to Discord names.

Life moves on, somehow. It’s an odd thing to go about things as if they are normal, but I still have to pay my mortgage and eat food. I’m lucky that I can do this will little interference from the current political environment, but that could very well change in the future.

I never intended my art to be a legitimate side business, but everything I do has to go somewhere and supplies cost money. The most I have ever made in one year is about $3k, not counting the cost of supplies and vendor/booth fees. I know I’d make more money if I branch out and make stickers and put some of my art on fabric. Thanks to this project I am starting to build a collection of smaller sized pieces that I can probably use for those purposes.

My art keeps me sane, helps me deal with past trauma (religious and relationship), and sometimes makes enough profit to pay for stuff. As long as that stays the same, I’ll keep plugging away.
