Final Thoughts
Emblem books fell out of favor in the 19th century, but the structure of emblems has lasted well into the modern era. What are memes on the internet but 21st century emblems?
I intend to make more books of woodcuts in the future, at a much slower pace than this project. Much like my answer to the question, “Are you going to make a Tarot deck?” Yes, but it will probably take me the rest of my life to finish.

Roughly 60+ hours of carve time from Jan 2024 to Aug 10th, 2024.
$400 base cost for all materials including ink, leather, paper, typesetting plates, wood, cleaning supplies, etc.

I still have a bit to learn about bindings, but this simple stitch keeps things together.
